Provides support to project management and controls team through development and execution of upcoming and ongoing projects. Provides support for Entergy's Stage Gate Process (SGP) and project management standards - ensuring compliance with cost and schedule certainty Entergy's projects.


Provides support to the project management and controls team by being accountable for the following tasks:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of schedules.

  • Apply fundamental schedule control techniques and liaison its relationship to cost.

  • Provide analysis of contractor schedule data to identify key project issues.

  • Verify contractor progress and review performance trends.

  • Investigate causes of variances between planned and earned/actual progress and document discoveries.

  • Identify, analyze and document project schedule variances and conclude on possible impacts.

  • Support the development of plans and schedules for front end work.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Issue and Risk register.

  • Assist in the development of Cost QRA

  • Actively participate in the development of project Work Breakdown Structure

  • Assist in analysis of cost variances between budget, actual costs and support development of cost forecasts

  • Support Project Admin and Accounting in review of contractors invoices

  • Performs analysis, optimization, and reporting on Entergy project(s) including assessments of risk, cost, and schedule associated with completing planned scopes of work according to multi-year budget plans

  • Proven communication within and outside of the project teams

  • Development of presentations to support future and ongoing projects

May assist as a SGP Gate Reviewer by performing rigorous evaluations of project development and control deliverables, including business cases presented by project teams. May assist project management in development of future business cases to develop ongoing portfolio of capital investments.


Minimum education required of the position:

B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering Discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position

5+ years plus capital project development and management experience (large, complex, utility capital project experience essential). 2 years scheduling and cost experience in the management and control of large, complex utility capital projects with an EPC or Engineering firm (desired). Experience within a multi-project environment (desired). Experience in utility scale solar (desired).

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Knowledge and experience in the management and control of complex utility capital projects.

Knowledge and experience in the development and defense of project business cases, including the development of project alternative solution and the associated financial evaluation.

Desired skills and abilities

Utilize schedule software such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, Acumen Fuse and Risk Analysis.
