Under supervision is regularly and customarily responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining the LNG Plant.
Performs scheduled lubrication, parts replacements, repairs, and instrument calibration in accordance with established schedules, or as required by operation or breakdown at the LNG Plant.
Works with Gas Operations personnel and/or equipment service representative on repairs or overhauls of equipment in the Gas Operations department.
May maintain buildings and property as required in the Gas Operations department.
Prepares and maintains such records and reports as necessary.
Makes complete tour of LNG Plant as scheduled to check condition of all equipment for operating and safety purposes.
Regularly climbs the LNG storage tank and other vessels for routine maintenance and/or emergency conditions.
Inspects, maintains and operates fire protection, methane leak detection, and other emergency equipment.
Assists other Gas Operations personnel to operate and perform maintenance in other Gas Operations facilities.
Performs other related or less skilled work as required o directed, including operation of automotive equipment.
May be required to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
Must have a high school education or its equivalent.
Ability and willingness to perform physically challenging tasks for extended periods of time (for example, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pulling/pushing, standing, walking, and squatting).
Must be able to pass a back x-ray.
Ability and willingness detect changes in pitch.
Ability and willingness to distinguish among differently colored wires, lights, gauges, controls, and displays.
Must possess mechanical ability and experience of a nature that will satisfy the Company that he/she is able to operate and maintain plant.
Must have experience reading and interpreting piping, instrument, or electrical drawings/prints.
Must have experience performing troubleshooting or diagnostics on mechanical, instrument, electrical or electronic systems and components.
Must have experience installing, testing, repairing, and/or maintaining mechanical, instrument, electrical and/or electronic equipment, systems and components.
Must be able to think clearly and logically under stress.
Ability and willingness to pass qualification test. Ability and willingness to pass additional written and oral tests when developed.
Must be willing to work shift or scheduled hours.
Must be willing and able to work overtime on a regular basis and must be available for callout overtime.
Reads, writes, and communicates effectively in the English language.
Ability and willingness to adhere to safety regulations and policies, such as U.S. DOT Federal Motor Carrier Regulations, Operator Qualification Regulations and Gas Pipeline Regulations (including physical certification, substance abuse testing, 21 years of age).
