New York Power Authority Renewable Energy Project Manager in White Plains, New York
The Renewable Energy Project Manager is responsible for developing solutions for clean energy projects by forming coalitions with customers, utilities, renewable vendors and stakeholders. Project manager will focus on developing, managing and implementing renewable energy, distributed generation, energy storage, and smart grid projects and programs at NYPA energy services customer sites throughout the state. The Renewable Energy Project Manager is responsible for managing key strategic NYPA projects and programs aimed at achieving organizational and state-wide clean energy goals. Additional duties include; business model research to develop new projects, customer outreach and education, state and federal policies that impact advanced utility infrastructure technologies, and identifying key trends and new program and project opportunities. In addition the Project Manager supports all business development in the area of renewable and clean energy.
Manage the development and implementation of key projects in the clean energy space (solar PV, battery storage and additional renewables) within the Renewables Program.

Proposal development on a project and program basis for each customer
Coordinate cross-project activities
Managing NYPA qualified renewable energy vendors for customers through advisory services.
Manage consultants and contractors
Building relationships with customers as the lead representative on projects
Prepare budget proposals, project scheduling and project reporting. May be called upon to represent the Program Manager in various tasks.
Assess program and project performance and make required adjustments to deliver results
Oversee the negotiation of project agreements between NYPA and its customers and collaborate with NYPA’s Legal and Procurement departments on complex agreements.
Act as a liaison between NYPA management team and project stakeholders for implementation of new programs/projects.
Representing NYPA on outreach efforts regarding Renewable energy offerings, including speaking at conferences and webinars.
Review economic impact analysis for projects, and economic pro-forma analyses of renewable energy projects to measure energy savings.
Collaborate with key stockholders and other partners in evaluating technical and economic merit of each customer project.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Primavera, and SAP, preferred.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload under time constraints.
Ability to interface and effectively communicate with senior management.
Ability to write technical and managerial level reports in a format understood by all levels of management.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Management, Engineering or the equivalent (e.g. Physics)
Advanced degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of business relevant work experience required, or a 8 years of experience in energy program development and project management
Supervisory experience or training

Approximately 10-20% travel, primarily in NY
