This position provides project management & engineering-based oversight and approval for Energy Efficiency (“EE”) programs with the goal of maximizing both cost effectiveness, improved processes and workflows, customer satisfaction and consistency across all three states. This position also ensures efficient and effective coordination of EE issues between the Company, its customers, and its regulatory representatives. This position will improve customer satisfaction and participation by increasing EE program operations, support and implementation in MA, CT, and NH.

Essential Functions

  • Work with the Energy Efficiency (EE) Tracking & Reporting System (TrackSys) Governance Committee and other stakeholder groups to identify impact, urgency, and priority for process enhancements.
  • Responsible for the process alignment of TrackSys workflows, reports, programs, and processes across all three states.
  • Responsible for the documentation of business process procedures and the communication of any changes in process as well as providing necessary training.
  • Proactively outreaches and establishes working relationships with TrackSys Stakeholders to ensure system and User needs are met and identifies changes needed.
  • Provides technical assistance and direction to staff, program managers and account executives related to complex technologies and projects and acts as primary contact with architects and engineers for technically complex EE programs and projects.
  • Responsible for implementation and project management oversight of all program requirements (i.e., engineering algorithms, baselines, etc.) necessary to support the EE programs.
  • Approves proposals for EE program enhancements.
  • Researches new program offerings, develops procedures, policies, operating structure, and information flow to ensure high-quality working relationships with contractors and customers participating in EE programs.
  • Plays a major role in the collaborative process (internal and external, non-utility).
  • Ensures that the volume of work produced meets performance standards and exceeds quality standards.
  • Design/Architecture – leads outreach and training efforts with EE personnel internal and external (including architects and engineers) related to the Company’s Programs and support functions. Develops RFP’s, selects vendors, and develops and manages related projects and budgets.
  • Research & Development – using accepted scientific experimentation procedures, produces white paper studies for internal purposes and external publication. Conducts relevant R&D on new and establishing technologies and processes.
  • External Firm Liaison – works with third party support companies (i.e., engineering companies, large equipment vendors and other program providers). Provides training on programs and feedback to program designers.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business management or equivalent experience

Experience :

  • Five (5) plus years of related experience
  • Direct Energy Efficiency experience is preferred

  • Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment.  This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.

  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
