Brief Posting Description

Tri-State is an electric power utility providing electricity to rural electric cooperatives. We have an Organizational Development Summer Intern opportunity for 2020. Students who have successfully completed two (2) to three (3) years of undergraduate study towards a Bachelor's degree in Organization Development/Management, Human Resources, Communications and Business from an accredited college or university are encouraged to apply. Seniors who will be graduating in December or are planning to attend graduate school in the Fall are also encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements

This summer position offers students hands on opportunity to work in and learn various aspects of power utility Organizational Development functions.

Responsibilities and projects may include the following:

  • Polices, Programs and Procedures revamp (move to o365)

  • Implement workflow for approvals (2-3 months, PT).

  • Research, recommend and development of professional development opportunity for new workforce (1-2 months, PT).

  • Assist with HCM implementation, as appropriate (2-3 months, PT).

Job Requirements:

  • Computer experience/knowledge with MS Office products.

  • Experience with SharePoint is preferred.

Duration and Work Schedule:

  • The duration of the summer internship will be from about the end of May until the end of August (can be flexible depending on start/end of semester).

  • The work schedule isMonday through Friday, forty hours/week.
