Brief Posting Description

Responsible for working with various departments to identify business application requirements, evaluate solutions and use project-management methodologies to design, implement, document, test and support the application systems. Responsibilities also include documenting business processes and providing application and business user support.

Note: There is one position available, and the position will be filled at one of two job grade levels: IT Application Analyst II, job grade NB19 or IT Application Analyst III, job grade NB21. This decision will be based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate selected, and Tri-State business needs at the time of hire.

Hiring Salary Range: $81,000-$102,000

IT Application Analyst II

Hiring Salary Range: $ 67,000-$84,000

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the business systems analyst for Collaboration and Corporate safety systems

  • Analyze and define requirements and recommend solutions for business applications to the stakeholders based on input from the users.

  • Perform detailed end-to-end business process analysis and document core system processes and related applications.

  • Document specific business application software requirements for complex and changing business needs.

  • Support and manage collaboration and corporate systems such as SharePoint, and Cority - this includes, but is not limited to, design, testing, implementation, documentation, user training, support, and maintenance of new and existing applications.

  • Develop, maintain, and document various business processes and workflows

  • Perform/monitor user permissions for applications.

  • Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.

  • Conduct meetings and create presentations to share ideas and findings.

  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of project tasks.

  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software enhancements, patches, and upgrades.

  • Adhere to and demonstrate compliance with appropriate electric utility industry regulatory requirements. Attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of development in regulations, laws, standards and best practices applicable to the functional area including, but not limited to, Standards of Conduct, Environmental, Employment Law, NERC Reliability Standards and Safety. Must be familiar with, and comply with, all aspects of Corporate Policy C-54, Compliance.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Two to five years' experience in business systems application assignment, preferably in a regulated industry.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Teams.

  • Experience with Cority is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Web Services and 3rd party vendor integrations.

  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written with ability to explain complex issues in clear, concise, persuasive language.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong focus on customer service.

  • Highly motivated and self-directed; able to effectively prioritize and execute while under pressure.

  • Highly adaptable and flexible; able to adjust quickly to new situations and changing priorities.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Experience

  • Five (5) to Eight (8) years of progressive business or enterprise applications experience. Note : The requirements above describe the experience and education qualifications for the IT Application Analyst III. Those with less experience will be hired at the IT Application Analyst II job grade level.
