Function, Focus & Reporting:
- Position will be responsible for project level safety leadership across an assigned project at InfraSource. Special projects Safety Manager Position will report to the Regional Safety Manager or other assigned department senior manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Embody and apply core values: safety, quality, integrity, ownership, service and
Perform project and jobsite level audits based on event trending, lagging/leading indicators and safety needs
Coordinate injury management through Workman’s Compensation Manager and assist in establishing project injury management resources and relationship building
Provide project level safety leadership and promote a positive safety culture
Participate in parent company level safety audits and coordinate corrective action
Participate in after action reviews relevant to events occurring within assigned project
Review weekly operations reports for safety planning purposes
Assist with training instruction and scheduling
May assist with/lead special projects as assigned related to organization wide related safety matters
Assist with root cause identification, investigations and case management within assigned project
Complete a monthly expense report for company Purchasing Card
Coordinate, manage and respond to OSHA agency level audits
Coordinate support efforts with other safety managers
Report daily safety experience to corporate safety leadership
As assigned, will ensure investigations, corrective actions and safety planning is purposeful, complete and supported
Shall ensure timely notifications for serious events are made to corporate safety leadership
All other assigned responsibilities by Regional Safety Manager or other assigned department senior
Qualifications:
A degree in a Safety and health, environmental, or other related curriculum, with minimum 3 years of verifiable safety experience or a minimum of 5 years of safety experience and the OSHA 500, or other accredited safety certification i.e. CSP, ASP, OHS, CHST, CSST, CSHO.
Verifiable pipeline project experience
Must be able to travel nationwide up to 100% of the time and overnight travel is required to support position and
Must maintain professional interaction, appearances and communication within all levels of
Must meet InfraSource approved driver requirements, demonstrate safe driving behaviors and follow all DMV rules and regulations
On call 24/7 or as assigned after hours, weekends and holidays
Other qualifications as assigned by the Regional Safety Manager or other department senior manager
