Primary Responsibilities:

People Leadership:

  • Assist Directors and Managers in aligning vision, direction, and specific objectives for team efforts to our digital, technology-focused, and Agile goals

  • Assist in the resourcing and balancing of staff across Agile product teams

  • Coach and mentor employees

  • Provide specific, timely, and constructive performance feedback

  • Collect staff performance data against established service level

General Management & Decision Making:

  • Coordinate effort to identify and analyze area drivers and trends to derive solution requirements

  • Coordinate efforts to develop overall approach for all layers of a solution

  • Direct work among the business users, architects and matrixed team members to solution product development

  • Provide immediate supervision of Functional or Technology experts as they align to various cross-functional product teams

  • Be on the lookout for new opportunities to leverage technology for continuous improvement and outsourced services for greater efficiency

  • Responsible for providing regular feedback and daily supervision to his / her employees

  • Provide input to manager on employee performance and on specific unit operations

Financial Oversight:

  • Contribute to the development of budgets for area of responsibility and assist in the preparation of operational plans for the IT department

  • Oversee area of responsibility to adhere to approved budgets

Communication:

  • Conduct internal and external communications with an elevated level of interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Build effective long-term relationships that involve obtaining cooperation and agreement on issues that may be complex or controversial.

  • Utilize negotiation and persuasion to come to agreement with others

  • Excitement, curiosity, and passion for shaping the future through digital technology

Other:

  • In-person supervision of employees to ensure compliance with FLSA wage and hour issues as well as to monitor compliance with safety rules.

  • Physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.

  • May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

Position Summary:

Position located in Allentown, PA or Washington, D.C.

The Supervisor- Transformation, under direct supervision of the Manager-Technology Business Delivery or Manager- Technology Modernization, has first-line supervisory responsibility for the Agile process teams. The Supervisor will lead these team members as they contribute to Agile, cross-functional, product-focused engagements.
