National Grid is hiring an Enterprise - Site Reliability Architect for our Enterprise Architecture group in Waltham, MA.

Global Enterprise Architect – Site Reliability will be a senior member of Enterprise Architecture team providing Strategic & Technical Direction and Architectural Expertise to support National Grid’s Digital Technology effort and provide expertise in creating Reliability at Scale Development, Infrastructure, Security, IT Operations utilizing DevOps, DevSecOps, DevQASecOps, DataOps, AIOps techniques.
Create Global Strategy and Target State Architecture for Site reliability Engineering Architecture utilizing DevOps, DevSecOps, DevQASecOps, DataOps, AIOps techniques. Establish current and long-range technology direction and roadmap.
Define Reliability at Scale Architecture, best practices, standards and patterns and oversee the implementation of the same
Set guidelines, guardrails and policies for Site Reliability and DevOps. Define standard tooling.
Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive action.
Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands
Champion a DevOps model so that services are automated, reliable and elastic across all platforms
Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortem
Provides technical direction for the design of complex and large-scale systems solutions to effectively implement the created strategy.
Authors complex macro (and micro where applicable) level technical designs that define how the functional requirements will be technically enabled.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
Good presentation and communication skills with a high degree of comfort with technical and business audiences.
Experience working with stakeholders to identify relevant requirements and understand how those requirements fit into the broader enterprise context for the application/platform.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computing, science, mathematics or related discipline
Well-versed with IT fundamentals including project delivery methodologies like Agile and Waterfall, IT investment/portfolio management, Enterprise Architecture, information risk management, ITIL, and Service Management
Have used architecture tools such as System Architect, Rational Rose, Casewise, Aris or equivalent
Additional professional qualifications or membership of relevant body/society is desirable
