National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst for our Market Intelligence department in Waltham, MA.

Job Purpose

To support the team's mission of empowering business partners to make customer-focused decisions by managing data transfers and operations with vendors, assisting in the RFP process and supporting research/data tasks.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee operational components of market research projects. This includes, but is not limited to, project management functions like data management, insights dashboards, quality assurance and vendor coordination.

  • Manage market research vendors in day-to-day operations on overall project timelines, correspondence, and ensuring that milestones are met at various stages of project execution.

  • Perform quality checks at various stages of the research process to ensure accuracy.

  • Program, field and report out on simple surveys using an online survey platform.

  • Assist in bringing the external perspective into the business through secondary research sources and benchmarking tools.

  • Manage our SharePoint library by keeping it organized, up-to-date, and complete with best practice information targeted to deliver on our mission.

  • Coordinate RFP tasks when looking for vendors for new projects and bringing on new market research vendors.

  • Assist Market Intelligence team with various research tasks with potential to own responsibilities on existing and new research projects.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills, facilitation experience and ability to mentor, coach and change others’ behaviors.

  • The ability to build good relationships at all levels across the business and ability to influence various internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong networking and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or insights-focused field, such as Marketing, Psychology, Economics, or Social Sciences preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in a research, customer experience, or role utilizing customer data.

  • Must have a strong attention to detail.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel required).

  • Excited about working with a team of passionate customer insights professionals to bring research and data insights to life.

  • Strong curiosity in what makes customers tick and how to exceed customer expectations in the rapidly-evolving utility/energy industry.

  • Desire to learn more about market research and applying it to business decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively juggle multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines simultaneously while ensuring work is accurate.

  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.

  • Comfortable manipulating datasets.

  • Background and/or familiarity with quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies a plus.

  • Experience with Qualtrics and/or SPSS or similar programs a plus.
