_About the Position:_

The Gas Business Enablement project is a major long-term investment in our US gas business to enhance compliance, improve customer service, rate case strategy and performance. This newly created project will be a significant undertaking for the business as we standardize and simplify our operational processes, upgrade the technical systems they run on, build on our compliance programs in a rapidly changing external environment, develop and enhance how we use technology in the field and ensure we have the right talent and resource plans to successfully deliver to our customers.

This role will be the responsible for being an important player of the Salesforce development team at National Grid to support and enhance the application using a Scaled Agile methodology.

_Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): _

  • Participate in all phases of software development life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment and support

  • Develop high-quality and scalable application logic with Apex and SOQL

  • Develop highly interactive UI using Lightning Design System, Visual force, JavaScript and JQuery technologies.

  • Develop custom applications using and integrating with other systems

  • Apply best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the platform

  • Create and execute unit, integration and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data

  • Operate and leverage Agile and Scrum methodologies

  • Gather, analyze and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions and production issues reported by end users

  • Development Operations (DEV OPS) experience including using continuous integration and repository applications to streamline development and automate deployments.

_Knowledge & Experience Required:_

  • 1-2 or more years of development experience, understanding of Apex, Visual Force and is a plus

  • Understanding of the Salesforce platform with the ability to interact with business users to understand requirements in order to translate them into design specifications

  • Lightning and Lightning Component experience

  • Experience with one of the following: Communities, Service Cloud, Knowledge, and other Salesforce apps and AppExchange packages

  • Exposure to field service business processes and practices. Salesforce Service cloud and Field service lightning experience preferred

  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, SAFe and others)

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Developer 1, and Service Cloud Consultant is a plus
