Every day we deliver safe and secure energy to homes, communities, and businesses. We are there when people need us the most. We connect people to the energy they need for the lives they live. The pace of change in society and our industry is accelerating and our expertise and track record puts us in an unparalleled position to shape the sustainable future of our industry.
To be successful we must anticipate the needs of our customers, reducing the cost of energy delivery today and pioneering the flexible energy systems of tomorrow. This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business.
As a member of our newly created Agile Transformation Office (ATO), you will play an integral role transforming the way our IT organization delivers value to its customers.Your experience and expertise coaching teams on various Agile frameworks and concepts will enable you to pivot our teams from traditional project delivery methods to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Scrum and Kanban.
You are a strong and influential leader who collaborates naturally with others whatever their level in the organization. You will leverage this skill to stamp your mark on all aspects of our transformational journey to ensure that our teams are ‘being Agile’ and not just ‘doing Agile’.
Educate, mentor and coach delivery teams on Lean Agile principles. You will be accountable for ensuring that teams are aware of their roles and responsibilities, are operating within the guardrails of the appropriate Agile framework and are applying techniques and principles in a consistent manner.
Strengthen National Grid’s collective Agile know-how by actively contributing to the Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE), Communities of Practice and other Agile-related forums which are designed to increase collaboration, further best practice, promote a culture of innovation and ensure that our new ways of working stick in the organization.
You will be recognized as a leader and expert in Agile, (SAFe, Scrum and Kanban). Although this is an individual contributor role, teams will naturally gravitate to you for guidance. As such, you will affect significant change without direct authority over the individuals with whom you interact.
