This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business. ## Job Purpose To develop and direct the implementation of the New England transmission and distribution corrosion control Operating Qualifications (DOT) program, the New England Annual Expert Training (AET) program, Field Training, and oversee the Corrosion Control Atmospheric Exposed Pipe/Bridge program. Develop and maintain strategy ensuring the safe integrity of the transmission and distribution systems consistent with company objectives, strategies and policies and in full compliance with governmental codes and regulations. ## Key Accountabilities Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): + Ensure compliance is achieved and maintained within this program, including but not limited to the oversight and support of all employees and contractors to perform all work associated with the program and escalating issues as needed + Translate corrosion control requirements into clearly defined business cases, budgets, and schedule to support achievement of both annual and long-term Operations & Maintenance, and Capital plans + Evaluate and develop strategies on the impact of corrosion control requirements on rate case development and risks to facilitate the planning process and develop strategies to mitigate risk + Analyse and monitor the gas transmission and distribution system corrosion control performance to recommend corrective action, identify trends and continuously improve the efficiency and integrity of the pipelines in this program + Work with Learning & Development within each region to coordinate reporting and ensure compliance within L&D + Evaluate regulatory governance standards relevant to gas transmission and distribution corrosion control, provide regular enhancements to the training programs for all regions, apply technical best practices within corrosion control and influence (as warranted) pending legislation and regulations and develop processes and plans to ensure compliance within this program + Uphold department safety (Road Traffic Collision, Motor Vehicle Incident, OSHA Recordable Incident, Long Term Injury, Smith Driving etc.) standards and ensure team and contractors within this program are competent and trained ## Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree required + 3+ years of experience in Gas Corrosion Policy, Gas Mandated Programs, or Gas Field Supervisory Experience required + NACE/CIP Certification preferred + Proven ability to coordinate with senior level management between all departments within a gas organization + Valid driver's license required ## More Information National Grid is an equal opportunity employer that values a broad diversity of talent, knowledge, experience and expertise.
