Job Purpose

To provide comprehensive, executive level, administrative support to the Band B as well as assisting with special projects and day-to-day activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Effectively manage the Band B's calendar for meetings, workshops and appointments, handle and direct phone calls, and plan and coordinate travel arrangements.

  • Coordinate complex executive meetings with internal and external resources.

  • Carry out specific tasks in line with clear procedures and working practices to support Band B in everyday work and ensure compliance to policies and procedures.

  • Manage a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks, including drafting routine correspondence and organizing/maintaining files.

  • Attend meetings and provide secretarial duties, including typing presentations.

  • Develop systems and processes within own area and deal with bespoke data requests, interpreting data provided.

  • Collect data using a variety of standards and input into standard formats; interpret and organize information to produce accurate reports for use by others.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.

  • Ability to manage and influence key stakeholders.


  • Associate's degree desired.

  • A minimum of 5 years experience supporting a senior level executive

  • Proficient computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

  • Understanding of specialized processes or systems in the supported areas

  • Business/technical knowledge, covering multiple areas gained from experience

  • Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy.
