IT Program Analyst

Basic Function:

Provide support for New Jersey Resources’ (NJR) multi-year “N.E.X.T” (NJR Enterprise Experience Transformation) program. The IT Program Analyst will support the coordination of program activities and meetings, assist with program and project financial management, and provide support throughout all phases of the program delivery life cycle.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record daily aspects of multiple projects throughout entire lifecycle

  • Assess and report on program controls, governance and standards compliance

  • Prepare program and project objectives, goals, and reporting for IT leadership team

  • Manage project financials, such as invoice tracking, forecasting and accruals

  • Report on resource availability and allocation

  • Record and report changes in project scope, schedule and costs

  • Measure and document project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

  • Coordinate program and project meeting schedules and resources

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation as defined by the IT Project Management Office

Position Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems, engineering or other related field, and four to six years’ experience required working within a business and technical environment or six plus years working within a business and technical environment

  • Four to six years plus years of experience working as an IT project analyst and a part of cross functional project teams

  • Working knowledge of the Project Management Life Cycle (Waterfall, Agile)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Word

  • Ability to compile and synthesize data from various sources into actionable information

  • Experience in regulated/unregulated energy business, transmission and distribution, field service operations, work management, customer service, or energy trading and risk management and a plus
