SUMMARY

This position serves as the Fix IT Now (FIN) Team Duty Maintenance Supervisor (DMS) and working a rotational schedule.

EDUCATION

•High School/GED or equivalent (Required)

EXPERIENCE

•Bachelor’s degree and 6 years power plant experience, of which, at least one year shall be nuclear plant experience. The individual shall have sufficient technical expertise in the assigned discipline to provide technical direction to craft personnel.

•Associates degree and 7 years power plant experience, of which, at least one year shall be nuclear plant experience. The individual shall have sufficient technical expertise in the assigned discipline to provide technical direction to craft personnel.

•Without a degree, 8 Years power plant experience, of which, at least one year shall be nuclear plant experience. The individual shall have sufficient technical expertise in the assigned discipline to provide technical direction to craft personnel. (Required)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

•General Employee Training 1, 2, 3 and 4 (including respirator) (Required)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Position requires supervision of Electrical, I&C and Mechanical craftsmen.

• Position requires ability to obtain Duty Maintenance Supervisor certifications

• Position requires ability to obtain acting Operations Support Center certification

• Position requires ability to fill in when required for the rotating duty maintenance supervisor

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

MAINTENANCE TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR DUTIES:

Provides technical and administrative oversight of personnel to ensure assigned systems, backlog, modifications/enhancements, and reliability are maintained in accordance with station expectations and regulatory requirements.

•Develops and schedules on-line work activities to ensure coordination between plant equipment, parts, and skilled personnel availability.

•Develops and schedules outage work activities to ensure coordination with Operations, support groups and assigned personnel to allow activities to be completed in a SAFE, timely and efficient manner.

•Develops and enforces policies, regulations, procedures, contracts, and expectations to ensure plant safety, security and reliability are maintained.

•Provides technical and administrative support/oversight of assessments, outage preparations, event reviews and business plan implementation.

•Develops and implements action plans for Limited Conditions of Operation, high priority scheduled and emergent plant activities. Performs work order planning and detailed work instructions to support the needs of the plant.

•Participates on selected committees and work teams and facilitates and implements craft programs and meetings to ensure continuous improvement.

•Understands and supervises to financial budget targets. Performs manager duties and responsibilities in manager's absence as assigned.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR:

Performs supervisory functions for assigned personnel to ensure employee performance, time keeping, vacation scheduling and training schedules are in accordance with policies and expectations.

•Develops and maintains appropriate technical expertise within the work group to ensure adequate talent to perform meaningful assessments and program oversight.

•Resolves problems and interpersonal conflicts and maintains composure in high stress or adverse situations.

TRAINING DUTIES - MAINT SUPERVISOR:

Develops, monitors, evaluates, and conducts formal classroom and on the job training to ensure employee skills and abilities support plant needs.

•Enforces qualification standards in accordance with technical specifications, plant procedures, policies and NRC & INPO guidelines.

•Observes and evaluates training, reinforces training expectations, provides feedback, and addresses performance shortfalls as needed.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

•Accept ERO position as needed.

•Accept outage position as needed.

•Provide leadership and direction to responsible organization.

•Perform personnel activities for direct reports (promotions, salary changes, counseling, performance appraisals, development plans).

•Monitor organizational activities, evaluate impact of internal and external factors (e.g., technology, regulations, business environment) and implements response plans.

•Budget for ongoing and future expenses and monitor budget performance.

•Provide employees with tools and training necessary for them to perform their assignments. Resolves problems and interpersonal conflicts in the section.

•Firm understanding of STP Goals and long-term plans.

•Ability to interpret and implement the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

•Ability to use algebra and trigonometry to verify calculations.

•Ability to use computers to access information and run reports.

WORKING CONDITIONS

•Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.

•Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.

•Work is performed in close proximity to plant equipment.

•Field inspections in all kinds of weather and environmental conditions requiring full access to all plant areas including climbing.

•Travel may be required.

•May be required to carry pager/phone.
