Avangrid Renewables is seeking to fill three (3) Traveling Plant Tech I or II openings to support the various facilities located across the US. This position is part of the Field Services organization and may include from time to time construction tasks. Tasks include: performing routine preventative maintenance, conducting repairs and replacement of equipment within a wind or solar powered generation plant along with quality assurance. Successful candidate will support in all areas of plant operations and construction activities as directed by the Site Manager.
The position(s) can be held at most Avangrid Renewables US wind sites with a preference towards Providence Heights, South Chestnut, Groton and Locust Ridge.
Operate and maintain wind turbine and solar equipment along with associated infrastructure including
Read schematics to troubleshoot complicated mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems with variable
Perform mechanical and electrical component repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions following
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

College degree or technical school certificate; or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training; or

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to climb towers up to 100 meters on a daily basis to perform maintenance in the nacelle and hub. Experience in power plant operations and maintenance.
