Bachelors degree in related technical area or equivalent military, commercial, or industrial training. Training is accepted on a 2 for 1 basis. (Required)
2 Years + of instrumentation and calibration experience or four years as a Senior Metrology Laboratory Technician. (Required)
Procedure Professionals Association Writer Certification (Required)
METROLOGY LABORATORY SPECIALIST:
Develops and writes technical calibration procedures and computer data based functions.
Determines instrumentation specification requirements. Examines and evaluates laboratory technical processes.
Provides technical assistance to Laboratory Technicians and customer. Communicates with outside agencies to acquire information/ material in support
of technical activities.
Collects and analyzes data to create documents, graphs, charts, tables and/or reports.
Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and safety programs.
Accept ERO position as needed.
Accept outage position as needed.
Writes technical procedures.
Verifies computer programs.
SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
Ability to use mathematics to calculate tolerances and interpret calibration results.
Ability to understand and interpret drawings, schematics and specifications in area of responsibility.
Ability to read, create and follow written policies and procedures.
