South Jersey Industries Senior IT Internal Auditor in United States
Performs a variety of IT, financial, operational, compliance and management auditing assignments of corporate departments and various processes. Audits will identify and assess business risks, assess effectiveness of existing controls, recommend additional controls where warranted and verify accuracy of financial records and efficiency of operations. Audit work must be performed in accordance with professional standards issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors and under the direction of Supervisor and/or the General Manager, Internal AuditingQualifications:
Four year bachelors’ degree in computer science, MIS, accounting or related business discipline. Significant IT related experience may reduce or be substituted for the educational requirement. CISA, CIA, or other Auditing Certification desired.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant IT experience or IT internal auditing required.
Minimum 2 years of experience with Computer Systems and Windows or other operating system experience a plus. Experience with Database, Active Directory, and experience auditing Lawson or Workday a plus.
Knowledge of audit methodology, procedures and techniques and fundamental EDP concepts and applications required.
Good oral and written communication skills required.
Effective time management skills to complete assignments within allocated time budgets and calendar schedules are required.
Ability to analyze complex systems, data and information, identify problems and formulate viable recommendations and solutions required. Proficient in computer word processing and work sheet applications required.
Appraise current or upcoming departmental procedures or processes; provide recommendations for changes or additions for improvement, increased efficiencies and effectiveness, reduced workload, error reductions, increased revenues or cost savings.
Ability to recognize business objectives and risks; make appropriate recommendations to address identified risks and assist management towards achieving business objectives.
Submit detailed audit work papers for review to Supervisor Internal Auditing and/or General Manager, Internal Auditing. Audit working papers must be prepared in accordance with audit standards and documented through narratives, flowcharts, and other work papers as required.
Prepare report/memo for the audits performed for submission to the Supervisor Internal Audit and/or the General Manager, Internal Auditing for review. Provide recommendations for corrective action when necessary. Follow-up to determine that appropriate recommendations to audit reports are instituted and complied by department(s) affected.
Perform duties inherent in all supervisory, professional and administrative positions. Consistent with all positions in this classification, additional projects, tasks and/or duties beyond what is outlined here may be assigned as required.
