Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (additional hours as required)
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for supporting the security functions in a dynamic and highly technical environment. This includes technical support of the physical access control system, video management systems and other monitoring systems. This position also supports protective services functions, related to investigations, threat assessments, and security awareness initiatives. The position will have a role in the company’s compliance programs, including NERC CIP, Sarbanes-Oxley and any other known or emerging compliance needs.

The Analyst position supports the implementation of corporate policies and standards to cost-effectively protect company assets.

Works in collaboration with other team members as well as various corporate departments to plan and execute security system projects, both as a project manager, and as the technical expert for security needs identified by others. The Analyst will have a role in process development, drafting procedures, and in creating and updating Security related documentation. This position will be involved in efforts to protect the Company from violence in the workplace, theft, unauthorized entry, intentional destruction or damage, sabotage or any illegal or criminal act.


Job duties include but not limited to:
•Serve as support for the physical access control and digital video management systems.
•Supports programs designed to help employees deal appropriately with potential violence in the workplace in order to protect people, property and information.
•Acts as a technical physical security reviewer of design documentation and requirement statements to ensure CIP and SOX compliance. Work may also include reviewing documents and updating processes, project plans, and contract security Post Orders.
•Supports efforts with various Corporate Departments to ensure physical security controls and protective services are integrated properly with other corporate systems, operations, and departments.
•Ability to establish and or maintain relationships as liaison with federal, state and local/city law enforcement agencies; coordinate emergency response of law enforcement personnel as needed.
•Proficient with knowledge of computer software applications related to security controls and monitoring.
•Ability to coordinate and oversee construction, installation, and integration work related to security systems; working with specialized contractors, and integrators to ensure work is completed to acceptable levels.



Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field and five years of experience in information security. Professional and or technical certifications such as CPP, PSP, A , Network , or CISSP preferred. Experience in law enforcement, or the military is preferred.

The ability to obtain a private detective commission in Kansas City, Missouri and the State of Kansas is required.

Experience with physical security systems design, installation and maintenance is a plus. Effective presentation and written and verbal communications skills are necessary.

Must be able to handle confidential information appropriately, conceptualize, handle multiple priorities, and apply tact, diplomacy, reason and logic.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing:
Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred.

Working Conditions:
Provides support services to the entire company with occasional overnight travel. Working conditions will vary from plant, substation, field, and office environments. Must be able to work additional hours as required. Must have a satisfactory work record including good attendance.
