The Plant Maintenance Technician will be responsible for mechanically maintaining and fabricating all the components of the quarry plant and equipment. Identifying and repairing mechanical failures and implementing preventative maintenance applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of plant operations, conveyor systems and maintenance preferred.

  • Must have good mechanical, troubleshooting skills.

  • Able to work in all weather conditions.

  • Able to come in on emergency breakdowns with short notice and work extended hours in all weather conditions.

  • Fabrication skills

  • Plumbing skills/knowledge.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures for themselves and co-workers by using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.

  • To keep equipment running and maintained properly to maximize production and quality.

  • Troubleshoot and complete maintenance & repairs on equipment.

  • Use cutting torch and perform welding tasks on parts and equipment. Operate lifting devices.

  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.

  • Communicate and work closely with supervisor to ensure all parts are ordered for timely repairs.

  • Communicate and follow up with all employees around the quarry to ensure all equipment is running properly.
