Job Summary:

This position starts out at $17.70 and up, depending on experience. This is a seasonal full time position with a winter layoff and a spring recall.

JOB SUMMARY

Operates straight or articulated rubber tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials and palletized material to and from dump trucks and or flatbed type trailers.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES

Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader. Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material or pallet forks into a pallet. Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket or pallet forks when filled, drives vehicle to safely load a truck or trailer. Be able to drive a forklift and payloader and load material onto customers equipment. Obey all safety rules and work in a safe manner. Responsible to maintain a neat and accurate inventory. Assist in inventory control and ordering with sales staff. Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. Learn the various landscaping products by styles, colors and sizes to be able to load the correct product for our customers. Work directly with customers to load material into their vehicles. Accurately palletize pavers or retaining wall products for customers. Receive incoming inventory and store correctly. Performs other duties as assigned, such as computer work, ticket creating, answering phone calls, taking notes, etc. Will be cross trained as back up to the customer service representative. Be able to perform daily tasks, such as cleaning, organizing both yard and shop. Other duties as assigned. Certain job tasks may require you to wear a half mask respirator in which you will need to meet the osha guidelines based on 1910.134(g)(1)(i).

Typical hours during production are M-F 7am-5pm. 2-3 Saturdays per month working 8-noon.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school education/GED, or Up to one month related experience or training, or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
