Job Summary:

The Medford operation seeks an experienced Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of heavy trucks.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems to determine method and extent of repair necessary. (drive train, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, suspension components, etc.).

  • Perform welding and operate cut tools, hoist and lifting devices, as needed.

  • Read, interpret, analyze and apply information from technical manuals and schematics.

  • Anticipate needed parts and supplies.

  • Complete repair order paperwork and Zonar logs, as needed

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, MSHA, safety & environmental regulations & policy.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 2nd shift, 12PM-8:30PM, Monday-Friday with some overtime.

  • Job primarily performed in the shop with some field work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior heavy truck mechanic/maintenance or similar experience or training.

  • Class A or B CDL with good driving record. (CDL preferred at time of hire or have the ability to get a CDL within 6 months).

  • Basic mathematical competence to effectively troubleshoot and resolve problems.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and co-workers.

Provide your own basic hand tools. We have a tool allowance program to help with the purchase of tools and will replace broken/damaged tools due to reasonable use while on the job.

Pre-employment drug and functional capacities testing required. Union membership required upon hire. Union scale wages and an excellent benefit package.
