BWXT is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to join our growing team in Mt. Vernon, IN!
Serve as the primary point of contact/coordinator for the program.
Assist in developing detailed recovery plans for projects.
Perform reviews of contract and design requirements for acceptance of quality notifications.
Support investigations of cause and corrective actions for quality notifications.
Track status of project schedules and deliverables.
Work with Unit Manager to maintain contract performance metrics.
Interface with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to manage change to component designs.
Support quotes for new work by reviewing technical requirements and preparing manhour estimate.
An ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and at least three years of related engineering experience.
US Citizenship with no dual citizenship.
The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance is required.
Prior experience providing engineering support in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Prior experience working in discrete manufacturing environments or within the defense industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), familiarity with NAVSEA regulations and requirements, and/or familiarity with DIN 1688.
