Job Summary

The Employee Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the design, development, and facilitation of specialized training programs for MasTec employees. This position supports employee learning and development across multiple programs and within multiple internal customer groups. With demonstrated success, the role is developmental and has growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize various media and learning methods to develop and revise training programs and employee resources.

  • Design and publish marketing materials in support of organizational initiatives as well as to promote Learning and Development programs.

  • Coordinating details and logistics such as communications, surveys, evaluations, room reservations, catering arrangements, and other training requirements.

  • Manage, conduct or facilitate both virtual and instructor led training and education programs as needed.

  • Evaluate training programs and provide recommendations for improvement to ensure efficacy.

  • Conceive of new learning activities and course content that is intended to engage employees and promote knowledge acquisition and retention.

  • Assist in developing and updating course rosters and inputting training completion data in the Learning Management System to support Employee Development programming.

  • Communicate with program participants to keep them updated on their status within the curriculum and to provide necessary resources and support.

  • Assist the Department Manager and other Learning and Development staff with daily operational needs.

  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years experience developing and facilitating employee training programs and resources.

  • Previous experience in a construction/utility work environment.

  • Previous experience with Learning Management Systems.

  • Experience with graphic design, marketing, and communications

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This job is remote with occasional travel to MasTec locations throughout the US. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers and scanners. Requires clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is primarily sedentary, with some filing or lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
