Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function) The project analyst is a member of the Berkshire Hathaway Energy business optimization and innovation team and is responsible for the development of various corporate reporting and analysis. The project analyst consults with team members on the utilization of various data sources to design and develop reports and presentations that meet required formats or expected standards, as well as suggest schedules for a reporting cadence. Typical Duties Provide continuous updates and insights to all levels of the organization in the form of standard reports and scorecards, ad hoc analysis, strategic plans and forecasts, new technology business cases and advanced analytics insights. Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operations business scorecard or key performance indicators. Develop and organize performance reports for both internal and external use. Assist with special projects including research, gathering and validating data, modeling and economic analysis and summarizing results for management. Provide support for key executive reviews including deck preparation, data collection/analysis and consolidation. Develop metrics and reporting, prepare and present data, gather and maintain project information for multiple projects. Contribute to the development of short-term and long-range business planning. Provide analytical and operational support to the business unit. Recommend and implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality. Bachelor's degree in business, communications, finance or accounting, or related field. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.) One year of related work experience is required for the project analyst level. Two or more years of related work experience or at least one year full-time experience and demonstrated commensurate successful complex project completion with validated results is required for the sr project analyst level. A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to interface with executive management. Advanced software skills in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
