ConEdison Solutions Human Resource Analyst (Generalist) in Valhalla, New York

Location: Valhalla, New York

The Human Resource Analyst will act in a generalist function with a strong focus on talent acquisition. The ideal candidate will have a passion to learn about all functions of Human Resources. This position will play a pivotal role towards the execution of Human Resource related initiatives and work closely with all members of the HR team towards developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities. This includes, but is not limited to, recruiting/talent acquisition, general HR compliance including affirmative action/EEO, benefits administration, and new hire onboarding and training. Also responsible for supporting the Human Resources team with administrative functions.

  • Support all recruiting activities efforts such as create jobs in applicant tracking system (iCIMS) and post jobs to our external/internal career pages, review potential candidates resumes, conduct introductory interviews and schedule team interview.

  • Support the new hire onboarding process including orientation, entry into HRIS, and administering/tracking required training, assign background forms, initiate and monitor new hire background checks.

  • Assist payroll with data integrity/system enhancement within HRIS and maintain updated personnel files, and assist in ad-hoc special assignments and reports based on business needs.

  • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/ regulations affecting human resources management. Identify trends that could impact organizational objectives and/or operational resources. Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management and employees accordingly.

Job Skills:

  • Ability to work independently while constantly communicating with team.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce, preferred not required

  • Strong computer skills (MS office Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with HR Information Systems, preferred not required\

  • Ability to be pro-active and multi-task

  • Strong reporting skills

  • Strong time management and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to handle multiple priorities a must.

  • Strong customer service focus


  • Bachelor’s Degree in fine arts

  • Additional courses or seminars related to HR laws, regulations & practices is preferred.


  • 1 – 3 years in a human resource related role.
