The CEBs have a growing renewable pipeline and we are seeking to hire a key member for the Con Edison Development team in Valhalla, NY. The Business Development Analyst will contribute to the achievement of CED’s financial and strategic goals by:

  • Conducting interdisciplinary research and analysis regarding energy market information. The market information will include industry, competitor, customer, partner, utility, regulatory, political (federal, state, local), and product information/research.

  • Finding and responding to Request for Proposals (RFP) and grants.

  • Assisting with putting together PowerPoint presentations on current and proposed projects and research topics.

You must be eligible to work in the US independent of company sponsorship.

  • Develop and analyze competitive and market intelligence in support of CED’s Business Development activities; Evaluate industry trends and support , monitor and report on competitive information.

  • Keep track of upcoming and existing RFPs and prepare RFP responses.

  • Conduct supply and demand market research, prepare reports and develop presentations about relevant research findings.

  • Create and modify PowerPoint presentations for current and proposed projects and research topics for internal staff, senior management, board members, and external audiences.

  • Maintain industry relationships and manage agreements and subscriptions .

  • Perform various marketing tasks including development of collateral materials, content of website and function as liaison with Marketing Group.


Undergraduate or Graduate business or related field degree in economics, math, market research, finance, statistics, engineering preferred


  • Up to 4 years of experience preferred

  • Must understand basic financial statements and ratios


  • Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • High acumen in ability to complete research and translate the research to well organized, concise communications

  • Strong Market analysis and synthesis (IHS, BNEF, WoodMac, S&P)

  • Ability to efficiently gather and communicate web-based information sources

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Self-starter – An ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
