SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Manager, Equipment Procurement & Telematics drives the creation of a strategic sourcing and supply chain culture in order to drive value to the business, heighten transparency of spending, and improve the efficiency of the supply chain. The Manager, Equipment Procurement & Telematics leads efforts around supplier relationship management, near and long-term sourcing and category strategies, spend analysis and rationalization, and improvement and training in regards to purchasing technology. The position also guides the Company’s strategy and use of telematics software including product purchase planning, training, and reporting.
Executes the vision for creating a Procurement Organization
Generates and implements efficient sourcing and category management strategies
Discovers and partners with trustworthy suppliers
Manages the company’s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending
Negotiates pricing agreements with manufacturers and partner suppliers
Develops supplier relationship management program and supplier scorecards
Facilitates regular business reviews with key suppliers
Acts as an internal point of contact for supplier management and complaint resolution
Actively seeks ways to streamline business processes and improve purchasing processes
Develops and maintains supply chain policies and procedures
Responsible for building a procurement strategy that aligns current purchasing operations and stands to create significant value for the enterprise.
Develops a supplier relationship management program that maximizes efficiency while meeting organizational needs.
Develops supplier scorecards and will facilitate transparency of information and dissemination of KPI’s, metrics and purchasing analytics.
Provides support and guidance to purchasing team and operations teams to ensure equipment is adequately planned for and scheduled, and supports process improvements where possible.
Oversees the maintenance of Telematics (GPS tracking) and Comdata software for set up and utilization.
Maintains strong knowledge of the current and future business challenges and opportunities both at the organization and department levels. Understands the short and long-term goals of the department and the broader organization. Provides thought leadership and tactical support for department planning.
Provides performance management guidance to all levels of staff to include coaching, counseling, and career development. Works closely with leadership and team members to improve working relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and drive employee engagement.
Establishes and maintains relationships with key department and functional leaders. Regularly meets with, develops and maintains effective working relationships with leadership staff to gain trust and build credibility.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong computer literacy. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task are essential. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to organize and prioritize work.
An undergraduate degree is preferred in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Construction Management.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in sourcing, procurement, or distribution in complex organization(s) of a similar size, preferably in a construction related business that has a focus on being a leader in its industry and is progressive in its processes.
A demonstrated track record of achievement in designing and implementing supply chain initiatives impacting the overall success of an organization. Requires knowledge and experience with state of the art organizational procurement tools and approaches.
Demonstrated knowledge through direct experience with procurement systems and associated analytics. Able to perform and interpret needs analyses and translate the findings into actionable next steps.
Ability to work with leaders to align procurement objectives with shared resources and internal business processes and needs.
Understanding of construction industry and market dynamics
Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
