Description

Engineer I - Performs physical design of electrical power substations under the guidance of senior engineer or designer. Assists in the creation of drawings, specifications, and contract documents to be used for construction under the technical guidance of senior engineer or designer. Assists senior engineers in research, engineering studies, and the evaluation of materials.

Engineer II - Performs physical design of electrical power substations under the guidance of senior engineer. Creates drawings, specifications, and contract documents to be used for construction under the technical guidance of senior engineer. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard design techniques, procedures, and criteria required for design, making adaptations and modifications under the supervision of a senior engineer.

Education: BS in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Experience: Zero to three years design or maintenance experience in the electric utility industry.

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Completion of EIT preferred.

Specialized Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Microsoft Word and Excel, CADD system (AutoCAD or MicroStation).

Must be able to pass a NERC CIP personnell risk assessment screening.
