JOB TITLE: Lead IT Quality Assurance Analyst


DEPARTMENT: IT Testing and QA – Topeka General Office


PAY RANGE: $84,800 - $113,000

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Other hours as required)

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and expertise for the definition and execution of the overall portfolio quality and testing effort including defining the testing strategy, structure, schedule and staffing for testing and defect management. Prepare detailed reports on application quality, defects and testing progress

  • Lead the development of the testing methodology and discipline while contributing to new testing processes, procedures and decision-making in regard to quality and testing.

  • Create, lead/coordinate and execute the overall End-To-End program test strategy across multiple projects and multiple testing environments.

  • Collaborate with development teams and business users to determine testing scope, priorities and effectiveness for meeting application and project needs.

  • Coordinate test data creation as necessary and oversee test case/script creation and execution.

  • Compile, review, summarize and report on testing results, defects and overall quality metrics at multiple levels of the organization.


Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent relevant experience). Requires 8 or more years of relevant IT/Business experience.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of application analysis and testing, business process and design in many application system solutions, business functions.

  • Use leadership and expertise in designing and developing Test plans, Test Cases, Test scripts, Test Scenarios, Test Data, Test Reports

  • Prior experience leading the end to end testing effort for a large enterprise level initiative

  • Excellent Executive Dashboard status and reporting skills

  • Strong functional knowledge & configuration skills and proven record of project delivery on time and within budget.

  • Maintain and grow cooperative relationships with members of technical teams, business support teams and end users with effective communication ability with both technical and business teams.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: CTFL preferred.

Working Conditions: Provide support for application software solutions that are available 24x7. Must be able to work outside traditional business hours as required.
