About Transmission and Distribution
Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for validating and preparing project work for SCE crews. In addition, the candidate will also track SCE crew’s progress of work orders and collaborate with Field Supervisor and Production Specialist on their work.
Typical Responsibilities :
Gather data, documents, analyzes, and draws conclusions from it to create and edit reports. Completes the E1P1 & E1P2 reports, Daily Report, Summary Report, Deteriorated Pole Report, Weekly Duty Report, Daily Cancelled/Rescheduled Outage Report, Abnormals Report, Streetlight Report, and Distribution Inspection Maintenance Program (DIMP) & Capital Handoff (CHO) Report.
Research and Analyze anomalies regarding work orders i.e. capital vs. function work. Schedules Meter Service Requests (MSR) to meter & service crews ensuring productivity and processing all paperwork accordingly. Reviews contractor timesheets for quality and accuracy.
Review work order for completeness, verifies necessary document are present and obtains missing items such as permits, joint pole and underground civil paperwork.
Close and confirm accuracy of notifications in a timely manner. Reconcile completed work orders ensuring that the work order is complete before forwarding to Field Accounting Organization (FAO) for closure. Create and analyze E1P2 notifications. Close out the completed projects in Click Schedule. Also creates job aids for district personnel as needed.
Assist Performance Resource Supervisor (PRS) and P-SPECs (Production Specialist) with inputting data and scheduling projects. Assist P-SPECS, Field Supervisors, Operations Supervisor and Foreman with training and other computer needs. Act as a key resource to the PRS and District Manager for high level presentations.
Improve, develop, and execute processes that support Thousand Oaks District Operations in the execution of construction, maintenance and inspection activities in the district.
Attend meetings with management on a regular basis to update the district on the performance and quality of work based on the analysis performed on the Design Construction & Maintenance (DC&M) Balanced Scorecard and Thousand Oaks District Performance Metrics.

Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Two or more years of experience working in an Analyst role.
Two or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions such asVLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts and graphing.
Experience with SAP or similar Enterprise ERP systems.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
Experience performing detailed analysis, investigating and resolving problems, drawing conclusions from complex data and information, and presenting results to key stakeholders.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience establishing performance metrics and tracking results to optimize productivity and quality.
Experience creating and editing complex reports, graphs, and presentations, using advanced software/system functions, and generating non-standard reports from business applications/databases.
Experience planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple assignments concurrently.
Ability to adjust to changing workloads and follow up as necessary on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Ability to work well as a team member, in a team environment, and be able to collaborate with peers, clients, management, and other organizations.
Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
