Tacoma Power's Rates Planning & Analysis group is looking for a business professional to join their division. This role supports overall direction and guidance for the Asset Management program with a Power-wide vision and long range planning and prioritization of efforts with the purpose of advancing the overall level of maturity for the organization and support implementation of Power’s strategic plan.
This role performs analysis, prepares reports, researches, and documents processes to support the development of Asset Strategies & the Asset Management Plan.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enjoys working in teams and has a background in process documentation and developing presentation and communication materials.

Work with cross functional teams to develop workflow and business process documentation
Provide expertise, training and support to operating sections to assist them in changing their business practices to close gaps in implementation of Tacoma Power’s Asset Management Program roadmap milestones and strategic objectives
Maintain and publish a Tacoma Power Asset Management SharePoint site
Develop documentation of Asset Management policies and strategies
Coordinate implementation, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the program and long-range planning
Support development of Asset Strategies and the Asset Management Plan
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, economics, planning or related field (Communications, Business, etc.)
3+ years' experience researching and analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations; data management and reporting, and/or business process analyses

Other Employment Information
Direct Deposit: Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule by direct deposit.
Salary Increases: Based on satisfactory job performance, the City provides for a regular progression of salary increases for most classifications according to the salary schedule.
Union Affiliation: Many job classifications are covered by union security provisions which require union membership, dues, or payment of equivalent service fees.
