City of Tacoma WA Public Disclosure Video Review Analyst in Tacoma, Washington

The positions filled from this recruitment will be part of a team working on requests for videos created as a result of Tacoma Police Department's body-worn camera program. A Public Disclosure Video Review Analyst on this team will need experience with body-worn camera video review systems (such as Axon or CaseGuard) and will be required to process evidentiary videos and perform advanced-level redactions of video and audio, ensuring all body-worn camera recording and footage is properly cataloged and can be easily accessed and cross-referenced with case files, archiving videos and data in the system. As a Public Disclosure Video Review Analyst, you will join a team of public disclosure professionals responsible to analyze, process, formulate and complete City of Tacoma's responses to Public Disclosure Requests (PDRs) in accordance with disclosure obligations contained in federal law, the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), the Washington State Public Records Act, City public disclosure codes and policies and all other applicable mandates. As part of the City-Wide Public Records Office this position will assist in all aspects of the public disclosure process including to conduct research, apply independent analysis and judgment and utilize technology to discover, gather, review, and produce responsive records. Assist in coordination with City departments and the City Attorney's Office to ensure public disclosure process is conducted in compliance with applicable requirements. Provide high levels of service to public record requestors and to all levels of City staff. Qualifications An equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis may be applied. * 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in public records management, public disclosure or in a legal or litigation discovery setting; * Bachelor's Degree with a focus on public records, business administration, public administration, legal, or a related field (experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis) Desired Qualifications * IAI Professional Certification * Experience in information technology services or video editing/law enforcement body-worn video editing or forensic video * Experience with Axon and CaseGuard products LICENSES, CERTIFICATES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS * Possession of valid Driver's license or equivalent mobility at time of appointment may be required * Certified Public Records Officer (CPRO) certificate or ability to obtain certification within 2 years of the appointment into the classification, preferred * Microsoft Search (Office 365 & SharePoint Discovery Center) software experience and Discovery Review software experience, preferred Note: *Applicants are required to submit to a criminal history check, polygraph examination, fingerprint, and background investigation prior to appointment.
