This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business. ## Job Purpose This role will support the Vice President of the Future of Electric and the department’s leadership team. The best candidate has a history of success delivering high quality administrative support as demonstrated by being given responsibilities of increasing importance and scope. A proven track record of taking initiative, working independently, delivering exceptional results and exceeding expectations is important. The role requires a strong leader with good judgment, an eye for accuracy, consistent character, and the unique ability to attend to details and get things done. The most successful candidate will have the ability to react quickly to escalations, schedule conflicts and changes, and prioritize accordingly. They are able to function independently with minimal supervision and direction: have a strong attention to detail; be comfortable handling multiple tasks and produce high quality work under limited time constraints. Be an effective communicator, both verbally and with written correspondence, equally adept with internal and external customers at all levels. This position will work closely with other Executive Assistants throughout the organization and the rest of the company, both domestically and internationally. Understanding the basic company organization and working relationships is important. Believing in National Grid’s vision while intuitively understanding how to apply these values to enhance working relationships is the key to success in this role. ## Key Accountabilities + Calendar and scheduling management. + Travel coordination, both domestic and international using a vendor application. + Expense reporting and budgeting. + Monitor and prepare correspondence. + Coordinate team activities, staff conferences and business meetings including on/off site logistics, staff meeting agendas, all hands meetings, space planning and other cross functional activities. + Ensure meetings, deadlines and presentations are carried out seamlessly. + Act as liaison with relevant project team members to ensure resources and materials are available as and when required to meet project milestones. + Support hiring and onboarding activities. + Keep abreast of business objectives, policies, standards, and procedures. + Preemptively foresee needs of the team and proactively address effortlessly. + Supply ordering and ad hoc projects as needed. ## Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required + Strong communication, interpersonal, and client management skills. + Ability to manage and influence key stakeholders. ## Qualifications + At least associates degree and 5+ years of Executive Assistant experience in a global organization or equivalent. + Microsoft Applications experience: Office 365, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. + Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with integrity and professionalism. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and team-oriented philosophy. + Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing and competing priorities. + Demonstrate positive and proactive approach to problem solving; able to consistently exercise great judgment. + Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast paced and constantly changing environment. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. ## More Information National Grid is an equal opportunity employer that values a broad diversity of talent, knowledge, experience and expertise.
