Ameren Vegetation Management Co-op in St. Louis, Missouri

The Vegetation Management Co-op position is a temporary, full-time co-op in Vegetation Management. Position is available January through August.

Key responsibilities include:

·Assist with the Vegetation Management oversight for construction projects associated with Missouri Energy Delivery or Generation assets.

·Shadow a Vegetation supervisor in order to learn in-field contractor performance metrics

·Perform administrative duties, i.e. time sheet reviews, OAS (outage alert system) operations, review vendor invoices as they relate to Clearion.

·Provide on-site field management and direction, and maintain safe work practices for contractors executing projects or maintenance work.

·Coordinate DFE efforts and relate them to Vegetation Management

·Interact with vendors, contractors, and architect/engineering firms.


Current student status pursing a Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree preferably in Forestry or Environmental Science from an accredited college or university with a GPA of 2.5 or above required.

Completed course work through sophomore level with a GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Problem solving & analysis skills. Strong understanding of GIS use and operation, Microsoft Office skills preferred. Good communication and strong IT and computer skills. Ability to analyze and solve scheduling and productivity related problems on a daily basis. Adaptable and flexible. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
