Washington Gas Light Co. Senior Workday HRIS Specialist in Springfield, Virginia
As an Senior HR/HRIS Specialist, you will play a key role in the development, implementation and maintenance of HRIS systems associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of employee information for HR department planning and activities.
You will be responsible for:
Confirming accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintains data in HRIS systems and databases and assures information is available on a timely basis.
Performing group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups and researched/reports on any data discrepancies.
Supporting user acceptance testing of updates or enhancements to HRIS and assist with drafting requirements documents.
Conducting data analysis on HR data such as compensation, classification, employment, employee relations and/or benefits data, as directed.
Preparing reports, graphs, charts and statistics in support of Human Resources Organizational Effectiveness (HROE)
Supporting HROE personnel with standard, ad hoc and special analyses.
Managing data to support internal and external audit requests.
Providing assistance and supports other on difficult assignments and/or problems, as directed.
Coordinating schedules and tracks progress of specialized work projects or departmental functions.
Acting as primary contact for assigned functions with outside organizations or other departments; responds to technical administrative questions and ensures necessary follow up.
Advising, monitoring or coordinating activities of outsourced providers as it pertains to HRIS function.
External Interactions: Employees, Internal HR Functions, Business and support units, Government agencies & courts, Internal and external auditors.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Bachelors Degree in a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ HRIS experience with demonstrated aptitude for analytics and problem solving.
Workday HCM in Benefits, Time Tracking and Payroll preferred.
Highly proficient across the full Workday HCM Suite performing duties to include: Business Process Configuration and maintenance, EIB configuration, Integration Management, Security and Advanced report writing.
Proven ability to use computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), to share, retrieve, research and present business information; proficiency with MS Excel.
Demonstrated working knowledge of principles, practices and standards of human resource administration.
