We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to fill a Student Law Clerk position in the Legal Department of our Executive Division in Springfield, Missouri. This is a paid position and offers employment during summer 2020. Normal working days are Monday through Friday.
This position will perform a wide range of legal tasks in assisting three in-house attorneys with litigation management, corporate governance, labor relations and contract negotiation. Qualified applicants must be currently enrolled in a Juris Doctorate degree program with an accredited college or university. Students in the top half of their class is required. Those in the top one-third are preferred. Students with prior classroom/experience with law journal and/or moot court or trial team are preferred. The ideal student will have strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time-management skills, an ability to think critically, problem-solving and decision-making skills and an ability to read and understand complex legal documents, including contracts.
