Description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Parts ordering and maintaining inventory

• Inputting invoices

• Receiving parts and updating inventory records. Stocking items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves;

• Updating the inventory system

• Supply Shop Mechanics with Parts

• Receives returned items by inspecting items; re-packing and re-shelving items; returning damaged items to supplier

• Ensure the shop is in good order and in accordance with all safety requirements

• Communicate and maintain a positive relationship with all vendors and customers

• Participates in all training programs that are made available.

• Keeps current on new products and product updates

• Oversees unit development

• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Prior Parts Room experience

• This job works closely with the software program TMW. Must have good computer skills and be adaptable to the rapidly changing environment of the shop.

• Experience with heavy duty trucks, trailers and heavy equipment parts

• Comfortable working in a fast paced team environment.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent communication skills between vendors, mechanics, and other employees

• Track inventory of Eversource gas stock received and maintaining records

• Track inventory of Feeney Brothers tools, equipment and maintaining records

• Budgeting tool and yard purchases

• Keeping general order, organization, neatness of yard, garage, and office

• Monitor the maintenance of the building

• Create overhead POs with manager approval

• Ideally have a 2A hoisters license to load trucks and equipment at yard

• Fork lift license required
