Job DescriptionLeads the Real Estate team in challenging and fast-paced work to secure all rights-of-way and property. Provides direction and strategic leadership to Real Estate team, and leads coordination with key departments across the utility. Manages and directs all real estate activity for the utility, including rights-of-way via easement or permit, purchases, sales, leases, highway franchises, real estate record management, title investigations, and corporate mortgage documentation. Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and stakeholders. The manager may lead specific projects as well as provide leadership. Seeks out and applies best management practices for real estate work.

RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate or a compatible field. Demonstrated capacity in real estate-related areas, such as rights-of-way acquisition and appraisal. Working knowledge of property management, including renting, leasing and tenant relations. Experience in property-related negotiations. 7+ years of experience in right-of-way negotiations/acquisitions or related areas preferred. Strong leadership capabilities including team building. Utility experience desirable. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
