This position oversees the day to day operations and maintenance of these facilities and oversees a superintendent, supervisors, and individual contributors including Instrumentation

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of LNG and LPG facilities in Massachusetts. This entails ensuring all facility operations and maintenance, as well as training and operator qualification are performed in accordance with 49 CFR 193, NFPA 59A, and all other relevant federal and state regulatory requirements. This position partners with Engineering, Construction, Gas Supply and Instrumentation and Regulation (I&R) to ensure operations are properly coordinated and executed on time and meet all regulatory and safety requirements and engineering standards. Identifies areas for improving productivity; assigns work, coaches and manages the facility staff; and is responsible for establishing and monitoring the LNG and LPG Operations and Maintenance Capital budget and operating goals.

Provides direction and oversight to the CMA LNG and LPG facilities in Massachusetts ensuring their safe and reliable operations; ensures that all plant operations and maintenance are conducted in accordance with all applicable codes and standards with an emphasis on public and employee safety; works with Gas Supply regarding plant operation and inventory management requirements including, but not limited to, vaporization requirements, liquefaction operations and scheduling of truck deliveries; interacts and coordinates supply needs with Gas Control as it relates to LNG/LPG dispatching, LNG/LPG Operation and gas system impact. Responsible for representing the Company in regulatory, state, and municipal proceedings as it relates to siting or regulatory proceedings involving plant operations and upgrade activities.

Establishes and maintains close working relationships with community public safety officials and conducts periodic drills with external stakeholders as required; develops and implements LNG/LPG facility staffing requirements as operational activities require; responsible for ensuring that LNG/LPG plant personnel are trained and operator qualified to perform LNG/LPG plant functions as required by federal and state codes; maintains a working relationship with the area bargaining unit leadership and effectively administers the agreement between the Company and the Union. Develops, prepares, and manages capital and operations and maintenance budgets for LNG/LPG facility operations; reviews and approves time and vehicle reports, purchase requisitions and invoices related to department activity; schedules and monitors vehicle maintenance and repair; responsible for the monthly LNG/LPG inventory certification in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience may be considered.

Minimum of ten (10) years in the LNG or LPG industry or natural gas operations.

Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of LNG/LPG maintenance, operations, and related codes and standards requirements. Requires knowledge of storage system facilities and operating characteristics of natural gas pipelines and distribution systems; principals of load forecasting; environmental requirements as they affect plant operations; and the impact of changing weather conditions and external forces. Requires an understanding of labor agreements and labor relations issues. Requires strong communication and high level organization skills. Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as pipeline electronic bulletin boards and gas SCADA systems.

This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre-assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non-safety sensitive position.
