POSITION: One (1) – General Technician Trainee
DEPARTMENT: Gas Supply
LOCATION : Southborough, MA
STARTING RATE OF PAY: $32.01
CURRENTLY POSTED HOURS: M-F, 7:30AM – 3:30PM
**Union Represented Position**
Under general supervision, the Gas Supply Technician is responsible for maintenance and adjustment of pressure regulating stations, weather related removal of snow and water, replacement and interpretation of pressure recording charts, end point odorant sampling, facility compliance checks, installation and maintenance of End User Transportation equipment and other assigned work in accordance with Company, State and Federal codes and regulations for the duties prescribed. The Gas Supply Technician is responsible for successfully completing al OJT tasks and examinations as required.
1. Requires minimum 5 years experience in a pressure control or instrumentation related industry. Preferred experience in natural gas utility operations. Formal training in electrical or pneumatic controls a plus.
2. This position will require satisfactory completion of a pre-screening for new hires, completion of company training programs, evaluations and written test, as agreed and subsequently implemented by the Technical Training Committee.
3. Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license. CDL preferred.
