Spire is seeking a Service Helper to work in our St. Louis, MO operation. This position will assist HVAC technicians with installations, turn-ons or meter changes/meter sets.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Pipe Fitter, Institutional/Commercial/Industrial Technician, or Special Adjust Technician in installations, repairs, turn-ons, or meter changes/meter sets.
Load, retrieve, and unload materials for individual jobs.
Provide physical assistance for fitter or Technician to complete assigned job. Assist in re-lighting appliances.
Leak investigations. Complete route sheet.
Required Education (certifications, licenses)
Must possess and maintain a valid Chauffers' license
High school diploma/ G.E.D. required
HVAC certification required
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
Must be able to safely operate a 1-ton service van, and a 3/4-ton pickup truck
2 to 3 years HVAC experience preferred

Ability to generate and interpret clear & concise verbal and written (English) correspondence with line workers, general public, and management so as to accomplish company objectives.
Physical demands, environment and schedule
Work will be performed in the field working in and around customer's homes and businesses.
Overtime May be required
