The Electric Business Systems Supervisor is an integral partner and business liaison between Electric Transmission Project and Contract Governance and Information Technology regarding technology strategy, planning, and decisions. Incumbents understand and represent user needs as well as business content, procedures, processes and systems for the LOBs. The incumbent will supervise a team that partners with business process owners and systems end users to define system requirements, provide user support, coordinated user acceptance testing (UAT) of new and existing tools (Unifier, HeavyBid, PDS, Contract Management Database, Contracts Data Mart) and to consult with the business on new technologies and features that contribute to business process efficiencies.
Bachelor’s degree or 9 years of equivalent work experience.
5 years of related experience.
Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science/Information Systems
5 years of job related experience in Business, IT, Engineering fields
5+ years in Business Analysis, which may include 3+ years of experience in IT
Project management experience
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience in targeted business systems
Knowledge of database management
Experience in RDMS and OLAP schema
Strong knowledge of the business requirements process
Detail oriented, analytical, good oral and written communication skills
Strong project management skills
Strong knowledge and working experience with Substation, T-Line, and Contract Management
Ability to work with different teams across disciplines and levels and promote good working environment.
Good understanding of the business process of Substation and T-Line and the impacts of technical changes to the collective business processes.
Ability to contribute to business development
Supervises team to accomplish results through recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, and rewards and recognition.
Provides daily oversight to a team of Business System Specialists involved in implementing user requirements and supporting assigned business systems.
Assigned to a loosely integrated suite of tools that affects ET Project and Contact Management.
Ensures efficient gathering, analyzing, and documentation of business requirements.
Ensures team analyzes and understands the end-to-end complex business processes and coordinates with IT to develop and implement solutions to meet business requirements.
Monitors systems/tools performance and provides proactive, timely and professional communications to users regarding system status, changes or enhancements.
Apply expert understanding of the impact(s) of technical changes to the business processes across the assigned line of business.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and/or functionality testing. Perform quality reviews of test results. May assist with development of test documentation.
Leads team to provide ongoing technical user support of assigned business system/tools.
Develops and maintains metrics for assigned systems/tools.
Participates in longer term technology strategy roadmap.
Participates in developing and delivering or partners with others on end user training
Partner with stakeholders and other to ensure support from team is as expected or required.
Some travel may be required.
