This position is in PG&E's GT&D Wholesale Marketing and Business Development Department (WM&BD). GT&D owns and operates natural gas transmission and storage facilities throughout California. WM&BD Department develops markets and sells transportation and gas storage services to maximize revenue for PG&E shareholders. Our customers include some of the biggest players in the energy industry, including large end-use customers, gas marketers and producers across North America. Gas Transmission Product Managers are responsible for the overall management of PG&E’s gas transmission transportation and gas storage products. This includes collecting insights into customer need, defining features and benefits of products, building the solution and process for new products or features, establishing pricing policies and strategies, obtaining customer feedback, and obtaining all required company and regulatory approvals. Product managers are also responsible for monitoring product performance and tracking capacity commitments and available capacity for sale. Additionally, product managers will have significant involvement in the potential divestitures of several PG&E assets (gas storage fields and pipelines)

Manage existing gas storage products and development of new products
Set pricing policies and strategies for daily, monthly and longer term sales
Track existing capacity commitments and determine available capacity for sale
Work with all stakeholders to best coordinate outages that impact capacity availability to minimize customer impacts and cost to the company
Ensure all product offerings comply with all company policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements
Identify product improvement needs based on inputs from customers and sales
Obtain the appropriate company and regulatory approvals for changes to product features or new products
Support sales and customer service as the subject matter expert on product details and tariff requirements
Lead or support various aspects of potential asset divestitures including determining appropriate process, evaluation tools, coordinating due diligent reviews by potential buyers and development of the sales agreement
Support regulatory activities by writing testimony, responding to data requests, meeting with regulators and other IOUs, and providing content for regulatory filings
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree; Business, Marketing, Science or Engineering related discipline preferred
5+ years of related experience in the natural gas industry including
Master's in Business Administration of equivalent graduate degree
2+ years experience specific to natural gas storage
Operational knowledge of gas transmission and storage systems
Knowledge of gas transportation and storage products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Expert MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Inter-organizational management of complex, strategic projects
Strong public speaking and presentation abilities
Solid judgment abilities/skills
General knowledge of the regulatory process and policies including those of the CPUC
