Gas Operations is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. As a whole, Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response. The Compliance department serves all Gas Operations by overseeing compliance with our standards and policy requirements and responds to requests for information from internal and external parties.
Using an established data response management process, the Gas Operations Support team (GOST) collaboratively prepares responses to internal and external data requests for Gas Operations information through detailed research, analysis, and fact verification methodology, utilizing business and legal experts as necessary. In addition, the team:
Ensures processes are in place for timely and consistent responses to regulatory and other stakeholder questions.
Provides direction for preparation of reports on activities for PG&E senior management, for approvals by regulatory agencies and in preparation for PG&E reporting and audits.
Serves as subject matter expert on CPUC, FERC and other regulatory issues.

This position provides a unique opportunity to work with all areas of Gas Operations as well as Law, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Relations, and other PG&E departments, as needed.
Maintain a tracking log of all requests that come into GOST.
Log and assign data requests.
Perform final QC, packaging, and delivery of all GOST data request responses to the internal requestor after completion of GOST Final Review.
Maintain a final answer log for all completed requests logged through GOST.
Track real-time status of a request to ensure expeditious handling through the established Data Request Response Process.
Create a daily update of open GOST requests and email to team nightly.
Prepare monthly GOST metrics reports.
Perform Prior Response research utilizing the GOST database, PG&E SharePoint (i.e. Regulatory Compliance, Gas Operations Support, GRC, GT&S, etc.) sites, CPUC websites, PHMSA websites, Webdocs, Google, etc. to assist with development of future responses, maintaining consistency, deposition preparation, litigation preparation, and metrics.
Perform Confidentiality Reviews/Redactions for Gas Operations external communications (e.g., GOST data request responses, Gas Operations-related external presentations, CPUC Gas Operations audit materials, and Gas Operations rate case data response materials).
Maintain gas and electric Delineation map request Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) repository and tracking log.
Log, QC, and upload Assembly Bill (AB) 1937 letters to schools and hospitals to repository.
Create, maintain, QC, and update external Hard Drives, Media, Flash Drives, etc. and the GOST Media tracking log as required.
Complete other duties as assigned, including but not limited to the development of timely, accurate, and complete responses to requests for information related to Gas Operations through research, planning, development, analysis, collaboration, and monitoring.
Communicate with internal and external colleagues on compliance issues and processes.
Adhere to implementation of typical/standard/common corrective actions regarding projects within Gas Operations.
Monitor and document specifications, analysis results, and recommendations.
Provides analytical support for regulatory, policy, and business initiatives within PG&E.
3 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience
Proficient computer skills (i.e.: Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe Pro, and Outlook) and experience with information systems
Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, or a related discipline with a strong analytical component
Experience with regulatory and customer service issues related to gas operations
Experience in research, writing, and analyzing information
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Desired
Basic knowledge and understanding of issues related to gas distribution, transmission and storage, and gas operations
Basic knowledge and understanding of PG&E’s gas business operations, generation, procurement, gas transmission, distribution, storage, and case processes
Basic knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local government, political, and regulatory processes and issues
Ability to prepare basic analysis and recommendations to meet policy, regulatory compliance, and rate-related requests
