Position Summary

Provides planning, product, business, and operations management analysis and support is focused on supporting Basecamp Technologies in the following areas: planning, research support, data analysis and reporting, resource management, process governance, budgetary requirements and spend, in support of business decision making, strategy, and operations. Provides input, support, and analysis to general IT business processes, assists in the development of a prioritized budget for the IT organization and works with other financial or data personnel to ensure accurate and timely operations, budget, and/or project management. May also be involved in business process improvement, quality control, special projects, and other initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

General Business Analysis:

  • Work with IT Field Emergency response team developing documents, standards and process for IT Field Emergency responses during Public Safety Power Shutoffs, Customer Resource Center deployments and Basecamp deployments

  • Be fully engaged with all Emergency response activities: Operational Emergency Center (OEC), Storm Rooms, Mobile Command Vehicle (MVC), and Emergency Communications Trailer (ETC)

  • Be on-call and active during IT Field Emergency Response events and have a coordination role during event. Possibly being on site at Davis handling material coordination.

  • Communication support during emergency response events

  • Defines and develops the processes, principles, methods, and tools for collecting, monitoring, and measuring business performance, financial, and operations

  • Proactively follows-up on issues and initiatives for senior leaders to ensure successful resolution and implementation

  • Works closely with leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure that key initiatives and activities are delivered in a timely and coordinated manner and aligned with the goals of the organization.

  • Manages the development, implementation and coordination of communication strategies and messaging for organizations and / or initiatives.

  • Drives change in the organization and is a champion of company initiatives as appropriate

  • Build effective working relationships within and across IT work groups

Metric Activities:

  • Manage benchmarking efforts, coordinates support through IT departments

  • Works with IT and functional leadership to establish a variety of key business, financial and performance metrics

  • Create metrics and compile dashboards and reports; develop summary variance explanations and recommends remedial actions

Resource Planning:

  • Responsible for providing strategic planning of T300 staff

  • Provides analysis of IT resources required to maximize productivity and minimize risk to services levels

  • Provide long-term resource planning forecasts based on current trends and information

Initiative/Project Management:

  • Work with IT Field Emergency team on project support by working with Project Manager and following up on quotes, PO’s, etc and ensuring project success for each project in scope

  • Manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives

  • Assists in execution of project deadlines and schedules.

  • Leads IT business/operations project efforts which require cross-department collaboration including process improvement initiatives

  • Identifies project priorities and assigns tasks to stakeholders on behalf of senior leadership

  • Manages and coordinates project events and meetings ensuring action items have assigned owners and completed

  • Provides guidance to and mentors other analysts

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience

  • 6 years of experience working with IT Technology Projects

Desired:

  • M.S./M.B.A. degree or equivalent work experience engineering or related discipline

  • Line of Business experience with electric, gas or Power Generation

  • Experience in leading projects

  • Six Sigma or ITIL practitioner

  • Expert at Microsoft suite, Teams, sharepoint, OneDrive, excel, and word
