_ Position Summary_

This is an opportunity to join a talented Financial Forecasting & Modeling (FF&M) team that is passionate about providing the decision support to make our business partners and company successful. As a key member of the FF&M team, the FF&M Expert Analyst will apply expertise in corporate finance and financial statement modeling and forecasting along with an in-depth knowledge of the company and the electric and gas utilities industry to provide robust, meaningful forecasts and insights to our clients.

_ Responsibilities_

Prepare the Enterprise-level 5-year Financial Forecast for Senior Management and the Board of Directors – ensure that modeling is accurate and provide insights on drivers of the forecast

Prepare Cash Forecast – validate changes in the forecast (i.e. Year over year, forecast to forecast) and provide insights on the forecast and risks

Provide decision support to Senior Management on Equity Issuance ranges and earnings targets

Contributes to establishing standards and driving improvement within existing processes

Develops processes as needed

Provides recommendations to senior management and extended leadership with supporting analysis

Drives change in the organization and acts as a champion of company initiatives as appropriate.

Drive continuous improvement in financial forecasting models and tools. Assure the logic, assumptions, and calculations in the models are correct and are updated when appropriate. Identify areas for improvement.

Leads special projects and initiatives as assigned, including cross functional projects

Build and maintain strong working relationships with peers and business partners.

Plan, develop, build, and maintain financial models for analysis and forecasting

Develop the "story" behind our forecasts

Leverage partner knowledge and resources to provide management with insight on forecast drivers.

Validate forecasts for Bond Rating Agency presentations

_ Qualifications_


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or related discipline or equivalent work experience

Minimum 6 years of accounting, financial, or business related experience



Utility and/or consulting experience

Able to present highly complex data and findings in a cohesive, understandable and actionable format to department management

Apply demonstrated knowledge and skill to resolve complex problems

Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects

Influencing ability

Ability to work in a team environment

Possesses general technical knowledge

Ability to solicit and integrate information from a variety of sources

SAP, UI Planner, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience

Experience in utility financial forecasting, revenue requirements estimating, and ratemaking

Excellent written and oral communication skills
