Department Overview

In Customer Care we are focused on delivering the desired customer experience for each of our customers. Everything we do starts with the customer and our information about the customer. That information is collected and managed by our Customer Experience Strategy group. Each of our organizations, though completely dependent upon each other, are the experts in their area and will further drive PG&Es alignment around the customer.

Position Summary

Provides engineering support for energy efficiency program applicationsand projects. Reviews accuracy of technical information, assumptions andcalculations for program work papers, project applications, deemedrebates, engineering specifications and other technical and applicationdocumentation related to programs and projects. Schedules and completespre-installation reports and post construction field verifications andreports. Provides engineering assessments of new products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews accuracy of technical information, assumptions and calculations for program work papers, project applications, deemed rebates, engineering specifications and other technical and application documentation related to programs and projects.

  • Provides engineering assessments of new products and/or technologies for energy savings potential, incentive program (channel) development, marketing material claims, integrated RCx and other audits and applications reviews.

  • Communicates (oral and written) with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging data.

  • Completes pre-installation reports and/or post construction field verifications and reports.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

  • CA Class C License, or equivalent

  • Ability to work at heights

  • Willingness to drive in all conditions

  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent of working time

Desired:

  • Job-related experience

  • Experience in customer service and satisfaction

  • EIT-Engineer in Training certification
