Summary

The System Analyst IV – Business Support Services is a significant contributor to overall systems functionality and customer experience at Spire Inc. by implementing effective improvements in order to meet internal and external customer requirements. The System Analyst IV is a key contributor in leading efforts related to new applications, defect resolution, enhancement requests, upgrades and other system changes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with business to determine new application and existing application enhancement requirements and assist in documentation of project charters

  • Responsible for the maintenance and support of all .Net applications, and ticketing, testing and project management applications

  • Meet with business to identify defect resolution requirements and assist in documentation

  • Perform detailed analysis and assist in design, review and testing of code or configuration changes

  • Understand the integrations with other systems and assist in analysis, design, review and testing of interfaces

  • Knowledge of systems that integrate and ability to work in team environment for solutions that cross over with other systems

  • Responsible for tracking defects and enhancement requests, including recommendations for resource assignments

  • Responsible for coordinating the migration of changes to production

  • Create support requests and work with vendor support teams, as needed, for defects, upgrades, etc.

  • Follow ITS change management procedures

  • Assist users with day to day activities

  • All other duties as assigned

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor’s degree, or related work experience as indicated below

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

  • Approximately 4-5 years of related work experience with .Net and SQL Server applications preferred

  • Working knowledge of ticketing, change and project management package and SaaS solutions required

  • Extensive experience working with converting Access database applications to .Net applications preferred

  • Minimum 5-years experience documenting, analyzing and translating requirements for development resources required

  • Approximately 4 years of project management experience required

  • Extensive knowledge of analyzing and documenting current and future state workflow processes required

  • Extensive knowledge of configuration, prototype and screen changes review required

  • Working knowledge of SQL and database structures and tables required

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Normal Work Environment - Work is normally performed in a shared office environment.

  • After hours work is required for systems implementations.

  • Occasional out-of-state travel may be required.
